Summary

Photos of Pete and Jeanae together and references to them dating go back to december 2004, when jeanae was 17 and pete was 25, months after she graduated high school. She was an avid fan of FOB since she was 16 or younger and probably knew Pete then. Not only is this predatory and an abuse of power, he himself bragged about his manipulation, emotional abuse, and even physical violence. There was cheating and toxic behavior from both parties (except pete had no excuse, while jeanae did), as well as self-admitted violent outbursts from pete where he would break windows during fights with her, which had to be broken up by a cop once. Do I need to explain why this is wrong? And no, poor mental health is not a justification.

Also, Jeanae herself, as recently as 2020, claims that her "relationship" with pete began at 15. you can choose whether you trust her word or not. This does conflict with the timeline as he was dating someone else when she was 15, but she could have just meant they were friends then, which would still be grooming.

She has accused him of purposefully taking advantage of her poor mental health and vulnerable state to abuse her, messing with her life to the point that she spent years as a homeless drug addict while he went on to be rich and succesful.

Along with that, he has a long history of predatory and manipulative behavior, as well as building a performatively progressive, acceping, and pro-woman / lgbt image despite staying friendly for 20 years with people who believed / believe that abortion is evil, gays should be exterminated, and feminists deserve to be s/ad, pushing extremely sexist and degrading bands, disrespecting female peers like Hayley Williams, being creepy to women on his label, and constantly writing about his violent fantasies about women and teenage girls.
